SSM Saint Louis University Hospital Breaks Ground

Construction begins on the SSM Saint Louis University Hospital after breaking ground on August 31st. The new $550 million, 825,000 square foot facility will feature 316 private patient rooms, an expanded level 1 trauma center and emergency department and larger intensive care units. The medical campus will also include convenient patient parking, a four-floor ambulatory care center, abundant outdoor green space, and has areas designated for future campus expansion. See More »

Covenant Place Breaks Ground on the Cahn Family Building

Covenant Place also broke ground this month on a new senior apartment building and community center located at Lindbergh Boulevard and Schuetz Road. Recent Project Referenced in Medical Design & Construction Article

SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City, Missouri was recently featured in an online article from Medical Design & Construction. The article discusses the impacts of decentralized nursing units and a post-occupancy evaluation led by researchers at The University of Kansas. Lawrence Group completed the project in 2014 and worked with the hospital and university to conduct the evaluation.

Michelle Yates Earns 2017 SMPS Fellows Designation

Lawrence Group Director of Marketing Michelle Yates was one of three marketing professionals honored at the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) national conference in Indianapolis on July 13th for earning the 2017 SMPS Fellows designation, representing the highest level of experience and leadership in SMPS. Yates joined Lawrence Group in 2005, and over the years, she has held numerous leadership positions in SMPS, including president of the local chapter and committee chair of the national SMPS Foundation Informed Strategies Committee.

James Vira Joins Lawrence Group as Senior Associate

James Vira, AIA, LEED AP recently joined Lawrence Group’s New York office as a senior associate. With more than 20 years of experience, Vira has developed a diverse portfolio that includes work for academic, civic, retail, and corporate clients. A registered architect, he has worked on complex, large-scale projects at all stages of the design process including renovation, new construction and master planning. Vira is a published and award-winning designer. His competition-winning proposal for Rapidly Deployable Provisional Housing for the NYC Office of Emergency Management received recognition from Architect Magazine’s Progressive Architecture design awards program. Vira’s ability to synthesize client, budget, and building technology into compelling designs is his hallmark.

Lawrence Group partners with SSM Health and SLUCare on new hospital and ambulatory care center

Lawrence Group is proud to partner with SSM Health and SLUCare on a new $550 million academic medical center set to break ground in St. Louis, Missouri on August 31, 2017. New $26 million SSM Health Outpatient Center opens in St. Charles

Lawrence Group is honored to have designed the new SSM Health Outpatient Center located near Interstate 70 and Fifth Street in St. Charles, Missouri. The facility is scheduled to open on April 24th and includes an urgent care center, imaging services, physician offices, an outpatient laboratory, retail pharmacy and education center. Lawrence Group Chief Financial Officer Laura Conrad was recently named as an honoree of for the 2017 St. Louis Business Journal CFO of the Year, in the small corporation category. Awards are given to financial professionals in the St. Louis region for outstanding performance in their roles as corporate financial stewards. Lawrence Group Senior Associate Galen Vassar and Director of Marketing Michelle Yates recently served as mentors for the fourth annual St. Louis Business Journal’s Bizwomen Mentoring event which took place April 3rd at Maryville University. This speed-mentoring event was one of 42 hosted by Business Journals across the country where mentors have seven-minute one-on-one conversations to coach other women. SMPS St. Louis, in partnership with PEOPLE, hosted its fourth annual PRIME TIME event on Wednesday March 22nd at the Sheet Metal Workers Hall in St. Louis, Missouri. This valuable networking opportunity was designed to provide MBE/WBE/SBE firms and those that contract their services with direct access to some of the region’s largest architecture, engineering and construction firms. Lawrence Group Participates in the Cool Women / Hot Jobs Career Fair at Hawthorn Leadership School for Girls

Lawrence Group team members Mary Sue Sutton and Julie Spengler were honored to exhibit during the Cool Women / Hot Jobs Career Fair at Hawthorn Leadership School for Girls in St. Louis, Missouri on March 10th. The fair provided students the opportunity to meet 40 professionals from various community businesses, and our designers were excited to inspire today’s youth with insight from the interior design and architecture industry. Rawan Abusaid receives awards for the St. Louis Photo Authority “Best of 2016 St. Louis photo contest”

Lawrence Group interior designer Rawan Abusaid received two awards on March 10th during the St. Louis Photo Authority’s Best of 2016 Photo Exhibition event for her long exposure photo of the Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge. Rawan joined Lawrence Group in 2015 with experience in programming, space planning, and 3D rendering and pursues photography as a personal hobby. A LEED Green Associate, Rawan has participated in dozens of successful projects for clients including SSM Health and St. Anthony’s Medical Center. See the winning photograph here »

Park Pacific Featured by Interior Design Magazine

Interior Design Magazine recently asked Lawrence Group to share one project that defines our firm. Park Pacific in downtown St. Louis, Missouri was completed in 2011 and stood out as one of our most memorable projects. Highlights from the conversion of the former Missouri Pacific Railroad headquarters into an apartment building include the lobby’s coffered ceiling and terrazzo flooring restored to their 1920’s splendor.
