Lawrence Group has a deep commitment to the revitalization of downtown St. Louis, as exemplified by the purchase and renovation of an historic 1892 building for our corporate headquarters. Our goal was to preserve the historic beauty of the structure and blend with state-of-the-art modern business technology.
We researched the original architectural documents and began to restore the structure to its original character. This included rediscovering the original glass dome that was designed as the centerpiece of the first floor entry, flooding the magnificent lobby with daylight.
The Security Building renovation is the first historic building in Missouri to receive LEED™ Silver Certification. We believe the greenest building is one that already exists, and we are proud to have saved this historic gem for the city of St. Louis.
