This project is a 3,000-square foot, four bedroom and three bathroom single-family residence designed to replace the client’s existing home in the Tarrytown neighborhood of Austin.
The challenging site conditions led to a creative foundation solution with a carport carved into the grade below the lofty master bedroom on the main level. A cone-shaped structure forms the study and contrasts with the primarily linear components of the house.
