The two-story, 50,000-square foot inpatient addition to Herrin Hospital consists of a new main entrance with reception area, gift shop; conference/classrooms; outpatient services including diagnostic radiology and rehabilitation therapy departments; and 53 patient beds.
Patient rooms include flat screen TVs, commercial- grade maple laminate floor and soft blue/green colors for a warm atmosphere. The second floor contains a modernized and expanded 41-bed inpatient medical surgical nursing unit and 12-bed addition to the existing adjacent inpatient rehabilitation unit along with staff support spaces including nurse stations, conference/consult rooms, and staff lounges for both units.
