Instinct by Nature’s Variety

Overview

Challenge

Instinct by Nature’s Variety’s original St. Louis office was compartmentalized with perimeter offices and tall mismatched cubicles. When the pet food company decided to re-strategize their workplace, they turned to Lawrence Group to create an open environment that promoted collaboration and reflected their animal-loving brand. This phased renovation would allow Instinct to maintain daily operations while maximizing their leasable footprint.

Solution

Lawrence Group opened up Instinct’s existing space, maintaining as much of the existing construction as possible. Large existing offices were right-sized, and many teams shifted to open workstations. Remaining perimeter offices utilized a new glass storefront system, allowing daylight to reach the core.

New desking systems feature ergonomic layouts and offer privacy without hindering collaboration. The customizable workstations have adjustable height desks, accommodating both individual work styles and dog playpens. Reflecting Instinct’s love for animals, social and collaborative spaces offer amenities like built-in watering holes and treat tasting stations for pets.

Overall, the new environment increased team interaction and cross-company collaboration, giving Instinct a workplace that now supports their company culture.
