The largest charter school system in the state of Missouri, Confluence Academy, desired to create an arts academy focused on middle and high schools. This was part of their strategic plan, but as a charter school, they needed the expertise and access to capital to accomplish this goal.

Lawrence Group was able to obtain a foreclosed, abandoned property immediately adjacent to the St. Louis symphony orchestra hall in the Grand Center Arts District and redevelop it into a 115,000-square-foot arts-focused charter school. Part of the $23 million solution involved converting an 80-year-old parking garage into loft-style classrooms.
