Challenge

The existing space at Maritz Motivational Services had not been renovated since the 1970s. More than 95 percent of the staff were in offices, leaving collaboration and teamwork a constant challenge. The leadership team recognized that in order to promote collaboration and creativity as well as attract new talent, they needed to update their space and ultimately committed to a 100 percent open workspace environment.

Solution

The new open office environment supports project team collaboration, yet provides space for quiet, individual work. Rightsizing the collaboration and focus spaces brought a better financial balance, while updates to lobby and dining areas were also provided. A new innovation lab enhances client interaction with a flexible layout and improved lighting solutions. The 100,000-square-foot project was completed in multiple phases, and Lawrence Group continues to provide on-call services for the campus.
