Overview

When Paraquad’s wellness and physical therapy center was scheduled for renovation one of the project goals was to bring the space to life through the use of graphics. After meeting with the project team and decision makers our way forward was clear, to bring Paraquad’s mission of “empowering people with disabilities to increase their independence through choice and opportunity” to life.

To tell this story, we created environmental graphics that warmly welcome the center’s guests and illustrates that they aren’t alone in their journey, they are part of a community. Utilizing photography that showcases real facility users completing a variety of therapeutic and skill building exercises, a colorful super graphic creates a friendly first impression and serves to guide guests from the lobby and into the physical therapy area of the wellness center.

Window film was designed to bring color and life to the reception area. The film also gives guests a sense of arrival as they approach the front entrance from the parking lot. The west facing windows take on a stained glass effect when the afternoon sun shines through the windows. The film was also designed to obscure the view of the parking lot while maintaining a level of transparency requested by the client. The window film and super graphic both live in the same space, so bold geometric shapes and bright colors inspired by Paraquad’s branding tie the graphics together. Phase 2 of the project will include exterior building and monument signage.

Using Paraquad’s mission as our guide, Lawrence Group created a welcoming environment that speaks to Paraquad’s mission and demonstrates to everyone who walks through the door that people are at the heart of Paraquad’s updated wellness center.
