Challenge
The RAW MKT restaurant located on 8th Street in Manhattan is the newest endeavor into the market of the poke fast casual concept, a Hawaiian raw-food specialty. The challenge was to create a unique customer order, pick up and fast casual dining experience that would blend market shopping with a food café.
Solution
The resulting design evokes the feel of a classic market with a clean, fresh take. The interior uses the existing raw concrete floors and brick walls composed with materials such as concrete, mixed custom metalwork and custom hand crafted tiles throughout the space. The contrast of these raw artisan materials against the new marble counters and custom millwork pieces make the experience unique.
